About the Studio

Decorative finishes are not a final touch or a way to simply make an interior more impressive.
We see them as a fully-fledged architectural tool that shapes the perception of a space and influences light, scale, depth, and atmosphere.
We serve the Architecture of your projects
Koldorkina Art specialises in decorative finishes, artistic finishing, restoration, and the development of custom textures for private and commercial interiors.

We work with architects, designers, developers, and business owners to create surfaces that become part of the architecture rather than an ornament added to it.

Our goal is to create interiors that feel coherent, refined, and relevant for years to come.

01.

Why most interiors fail to make an impression

Even expensive materials and furniture do not guarantee an expressive interior.

A space can easily feel fragmented: architecture exists separately, lighting separately, while the finish is treated as a decorative addition. The result may be technically well executed, yet emotionally empty.

We believe surfaces are what bring a space together as a unified composition. Walls, ceilings, decorative finishes, and textures create depth, shape the interplay of light and shadow, emphasise architectural volume, and become a background for people's lives.

That is why we do not begin with choosing a material. We begin with understanding the intention behind the project.

02.

What we believe in

  • Architecture comes first

We never propose a decorative finish for the sake of the finish itself. Every solution should strengthen the architectural concept rather than compete with it.
  • Material works for the space

Texture, colour, depth, light reflection, and tactility can transform a space as significantly as a change in its layout.

We see material as a design tool.
  • Refinement instead of ostentatious luxury

True quality does not need to announce itself.

It reveals itself through precise details, nuanced colours, natural textures, and a sense of cohesion.

We create interiors that feel refined not because they draw attention to their cost, but because they possess a sense of quiet confidence.
  • Beauty that stands the test of time

We do not work around short-lived trends.

Our goal is to create surfaces that remain relevant five, ten, and twenty years from now.

03.

How we work

  • We study the project
We review the architectural concept, drawings, visualisations, and specific requirements of the project.
  • We assess the space
We evaluate substrates, lighting, volumes, and the characteristics of the space.
  • We develop samples
We create several options for textures, colours, and decorative solutions specifically for the project.
  • We select the right solution
We balance aesthetics, performance, budget, and schedule.
  • We deliver the project
Our own team of decorative artists carries out the work.
  • We stay involved
We provide post-completion advice and remain available when needed.

06.

The signature of our projects

Our work is recognised not by one particular material, but by the overall feeling of the space.

  • Architectural сohesion
Every element contributes to one unified idea.
  • Working with light
We consider both natural and artificial light so that the surface reveals itself throughout the day.
  • Nuanced colours
We love layered shades that cannot be described with a single word. They make an interior feel alive and deep.
  • Tactility
Surfaces should not only look beautiful, but also feel good to interact with.
  • Attention to detail
We pay close attention to the smallest details. They make all the difference.

07.

Where our ideas come from

We are inspired by global architecture, craft traditions, and contemporary technologies.
We study European decorative techniques, follow developments in materials, visit industry exhibitions, research historic interiors, and constantly expand our own sample library.

For us, the goal is not to copy what we see, but to adapt the best ideas from around the world to the needs of a particular project.

If a required material is not readily available in your country, we source it and arrange delivery directly to the project — allowing the design to be realised without compromise.
This is how custom textures and bespoke finishes emerge — surfaces that cannot be found in standard catalogues.

08.

Who we work with

We build long-term relationships with design professionals and private clients.

We know how to integrate into an existing project team and take responsibility for the full cycle of decorative finishing works.

09.

When a Non-Standard approach is needed

Not every task can be solved with a catalogue of ready-made materials.

Sometimes an historic surface needs to be restored, a unique texture needs to be developed, a colour needs to be matched that does not exist in a standard palette, or an architectural idea requires a technology that is not readily available. These are the projects that interest us most.

We research, experiment, create samples, test solutions, and refine them until they work.

For us, a complex brief is not an obstacle. It is an opportunity to create something that did not exist before.
